Yoga classes in Central & South Cambridge
My background & experience
I began practising yoga in 2001 after the birth of my first daughter and as a way to exercise and tone up. My love of yoga grew as I noticed the benefits for body and mind, soon attending several classes per week in different styles.
Wanting to know more about yoga philosophy and the benefits I was experiencing, I joined a yoga foundation course in 2009 in Manchester which led to the 2 year Diploma Teacher trainers course from 2010-2012, both with the Inner Yoga Trust.
I now teach yoga part time alongside full time work as an NHS nurse.
I teach different styles of yoga, each can be adapted for ages and abilities, wishing to share the wondrous benefits of yoga with anyone who wants to join me!
I'm keen to create a sense of community with fellow yogi's, holding space when we come together and where everyone is welcome and can be themselves.
I have undertaken additional training in trauma informed yoga additional training and I weave elements of this into my teaching.
I am a registered teacher with Yoga Alliance Professionals

General questions
What to Expect: A mix of movement (asanas), breathwork (pranayama), and relaxation, often ending with guided relaxation.
Will there be any chanting? In some of my classes, we do chant 3 ‘OMs’ at the beginning, but you do not have to join in, there’s no pressure.
